Title
[Document, 1796 March 08]
Abstract
In regard to Bidwell's query about mention of Connecticut's Western Reserve during Peace Negotiation of 1783, John Jay does not recollect any consideration of this point. Suggests that the Connecticut representatives in Congress are free to consult the Peace Commissioner's letterbooks, which are in the office of the Secretary of State, and which may be more revealing on this point.
