Abstract
On Hartley's propositions: 1st article: already regulated by 5th and 6th articles of provisional treaty; 2nd article: All waters on boundary lines between U.S. and British possessions to be navigated freely by both parties; 3rd and 4th articles.: British subjects can maintain all their civil rights in American territories unless removed by Congress and 2 years allowed before it will be enforced; 5t h article.: The British forces may remain in the posts now occupied by them until Congress give them notice to remove; 6th article: this proposition left to treaty of commerce.
