Abstract
If the present postmaster should resign, Jay will take into consideration Stirling's recommendation of a Mr. Palfrey. Information that fortifications in New York almost complete. The activity and spirit of the troops and inhabitants does them honor. Congress pleased with Stirling's work when in command.
