Abstract
Congratulates him on election as governor which was long expected. Has met with the St. Regis Indians, and they have agreed to have a conference this coming fall at a place to be designated by John Jay early in the summer. Benson will be pleased to act as agent, or to act as Jay's assistant should Jay wish to go personally.
