Abstract
Publication of Deane's letter by Philadelphia Gazette, and the London newspapers, has caused a great concern in New York. It is likely that the Assembly will launch their own investigation or instruct their delegates to Congress that a diligent inquiry must be had to determine the truth. Please advise him whatever course would be preferable.
