- Abstract
- Jay recommended a Mr. Harrison to him, and he is pleased to receive Harrison. He is glad Mrs. Jay is in good health, but supposes that she has her "ups and downs," and will have them until the baby arrives. He was sorry to hear of the accident with the coach during Jay's journey--that and the Court enchantments doubtless made the Colonel [Henry Brockholst Livingston?] forget to write him. Spanish f leet at Cadiz is reinforced by French men of war, and is ready to repulse any English attack.
