- Abstract
- Whatever the treaty may be, Jay "must expect to be mauled by the Sons of bluntness and _____." While Jay's acceptance of the governorship will doubtless be for the good of New York, Cushing regrets Jay's leaving the Court. He (Cushing) will go to Philadelphia to complete a quorum, unless Jay sends contrary instructions. "A Virginia cause was continued to August term for your presence..." Cushing will have middle circuit, thus expects to call on Jay.
