- Abstract
- Commends American prosperity but cautions that America must expect to have her prosperity checkered now and then with bad times. Only the political difficulties caused a break in America's prosperity, for she was most comfortable as a British colony. French Revolution has resulted in the abolition of absolute monarchy in France, for which the world should rejoice. A second letter, written as a post script, suggests that it would cement Anglo-American relations should the U.S. government address a letter of congratulations to Great Britain on the King's late recovery from his "affliction."
