- Pleased to receive her letter, but begs her to take full advantage of the springs (at Ballston Spas) to better her eyes. Encourages her to take exercise and see friends; it will improve her health. Mrs. Ten Broeck is also at the springs. John Jay is still recovering slowly from influenza.
