- Abstract
- Is glad to hear Maria's health is good, as well as Sally's. William and Peter and Nancy are much the same. Has she received the papers sent to Mr. Van Zandt from Governor Tichenor? Thanks for the squash seeds sent by Mr. Isaacs. Believes another package came from the Chancellor; thank him for it, if so. Knows that the business she transacts must sometimes go too quickly for her, but it will increas e her ability to do it in the future. John Jay was not among those named as candidates for assemblyman of the county; would have refused in any event. There is much work at Bedford and needs to supervise the workmen. The severity of the weather has slowed everything down. Judge Benson visited on his way down to New York and looks well. Aunt Livingston expresses a wish to visit but John Jay does not expect it, as she has been unable to for years past.
