Abstract:
Have all of his letters arrived? Peter should acknowledge each one. He has often considered the question of appointing Peter to the minor offices for which so many content. He feels that these offices consume too much time and do not add to professional reputation. "An eminent counsellor will attract more Respect, and command more Influence, as well as more money, than almost any such office can confer or produce."
