Abstract:
Believes the (yellow) fever in New York city does not exist, although avoids areas of town that might be dangerous. Uncle AugustusÆs brig is finished but not sent; he has recently spent a lot of time with Sir James on the death of Van Wisekle. Has not yet heard from Major Lyons.
