Abstract:
Peter and John Jay anxious to hear of fate of treaty. Assume that it has been object of much abuse and that "certain party in New York and a worthy Senator at their head have been the most forward to reprobate and Oppose it." This party, however, must remember that they must take responsibility for "all the bloodshed and calamities" that would ensue if Treaty rejected. Prices in London high. Poor suffer "beyond belief."
