- Abstract
- Autograph draft. Asks Frederick to draw upon him for funds to assist the family at Fishkill. Has sent a bale of cloth and some maize to Philadelphia in care of Robert Morris. Retain the old servants who have spent their youth in the family's service -- justice and gratitude demand this. Sell or rent one of the four younger servants. Peter should have a boy with him -- John's own boy is at his dispo sal. Because of their father's age, do not press him concerning the sale of servants. Did the robbers take any of their father's or Frederick's papers? If wills were stolen, take care to have them reexecuted. Peter Augustus need not go to Fishkill -- it will only be an additional burden on the family to have him there. Grain he sent is said to be good for hogs and poultry.
