- Discusses his activities to evacuate the family and possessions from Fishkill, to Kent. General Sullivan with 2,000 troops encamped in Fishkill. "The old gentleman" was uneasy that the enemy might cross the river. A farm in Kent is available for purchase; thinks a central place for the family better than having them in different houses.
