- State of Peter Jay's health weak but better. Militia men have been called out and entrenchments are prepared in New York. He sold his last shipment of Curacao goods to advantage but will not order any more because of the state of the times. Asks whether or not Bedford lands may be divided by an Act of the Assembly.
