Abstract
Estimates for new houses in Walker Street show building costs to be greatly increased over last year. The High School Society has applied for a perpetual lease of three lots at the corner of Elm and Walker Streets; doubts whether a school would be agreeable to the neighbors. Has not been able to settle with Mr. Munro on the partition, but a new valuation of the lots has been agreed on and thinks th e business will progress without recourse to a suit. Family news.
