Abstract
Augustus is improving in both reading and writing "if not so fast as we could wish, perhaps as fast as can be expected from his bird-witted humour. "Recommends his son-in-law, Benny Nicoll, who wishes to continue his legal studies in New York, to Peter Jay's attention. In case Mr. Murray does not accept Nicoll, hopes that Peter Jay might recommend him to Mr. Chambers. Johnson will be grateful for a ny advice Jay can give Nicoll.
