- Abstract
- Apologizes for delay in writing. Is sorry for Peter Jay's "dark apprehensions about P.Q." If he should need a lawyer, Mr. Fitch of Norwalk is the best. Augustus suffers from a burn on his face, but apparently it is not serious and is expected to heal with little or no scar. He is under the care of a woman skillful in curing burns. One side of his hair has been singed. Asks Peter Jay to send a wig a s soon as possible. Augustus's reading is improving. He feels no pain from the burn, and is playing about the house, glad to have a holiday from school.
