Copy in Jay's hand endorsed: "Copy of Mr. Littlepage's bill returned to Mr. Harrison at Cadiz in my [Jay's] letter to him of 6 November 1781." Littlepage's bill is dated 19 July. Since Littlepage had a credit of no more than 150 hard dollars, Jay did not accept this bill, although he has since accepted another in which the said $150 was included.
