- Abstract
- Deciphered version of documents 7008 and 10231. Transmits copies of his letters to Galvez, the Governor of Havana, and to Robert Smith ( documents 7667 and 7668). Letter to Galvez was first shown to Francisco Rendon. Encloses a copy of Rendon's note approving Morris's letter to the Governor (document 7666). Asks that Jay will support and justify the measures he has taken and those that may be taken in consequence of these moves. Enclosures: Documents 7666, 7667, 7668)
