- Abstract
- Letter signed. Proposals for taking care of the American seamen arriving from captivity at Cadiz, who have put Jay to a good deal of expense. John Jay should authorize his agent at Cadiz to send these men to the U.S., where they will be paid when they arrive. It would be a good idea to purchase vessels for this service. Encloses a copy of letter to Huntington of this date (document 7004) on urgency of a Spanish loan.
