- Abstract
- Received John Jay's of 3 Feb. Robert Morris expects that Congress will come to Philadelphia; Lewis Morris will not set off for Baltimore unless a letter from Congress indicates they will not return Philadelphia. Until then he is unable to send resolution about Dr. Morgan. Colonel Livingston suggests that Lewis or Jacob should be appointed to the vacant lieutant colonelcy in his regiment. Exchange o f West/Jancey will "be in our favor." Prices have risen in Philadelphia because of the great influx of people (examples of price changes). Spent evening with Governor Livingston a few nights ago; he was in high spirits.
