- Abstract
- Autograph Letter Signed duplicate copy of 12995, dated 4 June. Talbot was Captain of the General Washington, which was captured by the English. He and 70 other American officers were brought to Mill Prison in Plymouth. He is deprived of the necessary supplies which he required and requests that John Jay send him about 50 pounds sterling-- to be charged to him on account of his service with the mili tary or naval departments or to be advanced on his own private account.
