- Abstract
- Major Lyon died the day before yesterday and is to be buried at North Castle. Jacob Barker had expectations of being nominated Senator but spoke to the late meeting at Sing Sing with little effect. Pierre Van Cortlandt was nominated without a dissenting voice. It is improbable the Democrats will support the same candidate for Governor, since what happened at the late election for a Speaker will div ide them. Family news.
