- Abstract
- Carmichael encloses four bills of exchange and notes that a portrait of Washington engraved in Madrid from a du Simitier drawing which Carmichael presented to Mr. Yriarte will be presented to Floridablanca. Also encloses a paper which he thinks will please John Jay. On verso, Jay's draft reply of the same day: returns the paper (not described) sent to him by Carmichael this day and says it indeed g ave him pleasure to read it.
