Abstract
Cabarrus (spelling?) had another audience yesterday and will inform Carmichael of the result today. No word from France; if any comes he will communicate it to Jay at dinnertime. Gavarra (spelling?) told him last night that the whole of Jay's news had been communicated to him and he thought it improper to print the deprecatory part of it. Asks for bill of exchange he sent yesterday. On the second p age is a note in Jay's hand stating that he is enclosing the bill mentioned by Carmichael in his note that morning. Mr. Gardoqui will show Carmichael three American newspapers which Jay received from Bilbao.
