- Abstract
- Instructions concerning the distribution of the farm at Rye from the estate of Peter Jay to John Jay's brother, Peter Jay. Requests Benson to take steps to provide for the old age of Jay's mare, and also to repurchase her colt. Has met many Americans in London, but only associates with those who did not take part in atrocities and have not engaged in spreading rumors about the United States. Peter Van Schaack has been requested to verify Benson's signature on the power of attorney. Once this is done, and an affidavit is received that Peter Jay survived Mrs. Peloquin, the legacy will be paid by her executor.
