Title
[Document, 1782 August 26]
Abstract
The Vermont matter--from what Benson relates it appears"...to have been bitched in the last as well as first stages...." Now that it is over with there are other boundary lines to be settled. It is essential that this be done without causing dissension among the states, for only in union can America realize her place in the society of nations. Please tell him details of the death of his father. Sir James Jay is in England--he knows not why or in what capacity. Please tell Dr. Van Wyck of his gratitude.
