- Abstract
- Today he saw Floridablanca and advised him of his need to depart immediately for Paris in consequence of Jay's advise and a resolution of Congress. Floridablanca has asked for a copy of the relevant part of Jay's letter and the resolution of Congress so that the Spanish king will know the reasons for Carmichael's leaving Spain. Carmichael expects to comply with Floridablanca's request.
