Title
[Document, 1783 October 12]
Abstract
This letter concerns purely personal affairs of Jay - the renting of his house, and other affairs which Carmichael is handling for him. Carmichael would himself rent Jay's house if he thought he would be remaining in Spain much longer, but Carmichael believes he will not be there for a much longer period of time. Hopes Jay is satisfied with the way Carmichael has handled his affairs and adds some f lattering remarks about Jay's talents and patriotism and the pleasure Carmichael has had in knowing him.
