- Abstract
- Complains of no letters from Clinton, Received news that Henry Clinton's fleet was wrecked- if so, please confirm as this will be of value to America's position in Europe. "By her Power, Justice, Commerce and Consequence America much expects to gain and keep Friends. The Equity of her cause is, with many, only a secondary consideration. "Sees no good coming from the attempt to regulate prices. How goes matters in regard to Vermont? English have printed a New York confiscation act- very bad publicity- if possible please send copy so that he may print it accurately. Asks news of Congress. Is glad Livingston is there- what has become of Morris-don't let his foes "run him down."
