- Abstract
- Wishes Hamilton would at least sit in the New York legislature if not in Congress. Laborers are needed. Present appearances in America cause us harm. Violence, acts against the Tories, reluctance to taxes and disunity create disrespect in Europe. The faithless and cruel Tories should be banished and the rest pardoned. Victory and peace should be followed by clemency, moderation and benevolence in o rder not to sully the glory of the revolution.
