- Abstract
- Jay overjoyed by the great American victory over Cornwallis. Washington the most singular instance of virtue, greatness and good fortune history has hitherto recorded. Glad of French cooperation with us. Thinks another campaign will precede a general peace. The U.S. must continue vigorous exertions. France jubilant over our success.
