Abstract
Thanks Floridablanca for the facts he presented in his letter and agrees with the impropriety of keeping the deserters on board the ship. Compliments Floridablanca on his delicacy and sense of justice and will comply with his request. Favorably compares Spain's hospitality to that of Portugal's. Encloses copy of letter to the commander of the American frigate; also will send copy to Congress. Again urges Floridablanca to speak soon about the subject of his last letter as Congress is most anxious about the results.
