He was told that it was not obtainable without the consent of Governor Trumbull. The Governor with his Council consented to deliver the cannon to New York. The director of the furnace convinced Jay it would be best to build only cannon and not trux. He then hired team to carry four cannon and fifty round of shot to Colonel Hoffman's landing. Colonel Livingston has agreed to furnish the colony with trucks and shot.
