Abstract:
Jay judges that Floridablanca will follow the policy of acknowledging American independence and will give aid in the hope of lasting attachments. John Dalrymple is here for his lady's health (it is said). A friend of Gratham. Jay going to Aranjuez tomorrow and will be able to judge the success of Dalrymple's mission by the conduct of Spain toward America. Jay has hopes for a treaty with Spain.
