- Abstract
- Gives a short account of what steps he took before his leaving Albany to go to Philadelphia and encloses copies of his letters and orders from the time of his return to Albany to resume the command of the Northern department. These orders "will fully exculpate me from any inattention or want of foresight and that the fortress of Tyconderoga was not gi ven up by my orders, and if not sufficiently supplied with provisions etc. that it was not my fault..."
