- Abstract
- Copy is in hand of John Jay. They have drawn upon him for 100,000 pounds shortly after his departure, but to allow him time they have made the bills payable 6 months after sight. They had to drawn upon him again for 25,000 dollars. The depreciation of the currency has caused the need for these steps to avoid a severe crisis, but the late steps to reli eve the situation have resulted in a better financial situation. Take every possible step to obtain funds to honor the bills.
