In Jay's hand, this is corrected to 155 days at 20 shillings a day. Arithmetical jottings in Jay's hand check the amount still owed to him. Evidently he had been paid for 80 days at 28 shillings a day, and 43 pounds was still due to him. Mostly in Jay's hand.
