Abstract:
Acknowledges receipt of 25 October. John Jay has acquainted Congress with the contents of the DeNeufvilles letters. Whatever inconveniences arise from the capture of Laurens papers are not the fault of the DeNeufvilles. John Jay thanks them for their interest in the progress of the loan from Spain. From what DeNeufville & Sonsay, and from what John Jay hears of them, he has the highest confidence in their zeal for America.
