- Abstract
- Acknowledges receipt of 13 and 14 August. Washington is glad a cannon has been obtained and that there is a good prospect of securing the pass at Fort Montgomery. Clinton's attention to the needs of the Secret Committee and the Secret Committee's measures for the defense of the Hudson have given Washington great satisfaction.
