- Acknowledges receipt of 21 and 26 April. Washington thanks John Jay for the summary of nation events. Washington feels that Americans are rather indifferent to thedanger from Britain. It is said that there is indifference at home of the stateof American currency. Credit must be restored. Dft., in hand of AlexanderHamilton.
