- Abstract
- To avoid delay, Washington is sending the present letter and its enclosure on a French frigate despatched by Admiral de Grasse rather than through the usual channels in the Foreign Office. Washington is demanding the return of all prisoners and cannon taken at York and Gloucester. Included in the paper enclosed is an extract of an account of General G reene's most recent action in South Carolina. Varick transcript.
