- Autograph letter signed version of document 9424. Jay doubts whether he will go to London. He would always be pleased to see his old friend. Explanation for Egbert Benson's conduct:"Benson is an honest Man, and loves you -- It grieved him to act a Part that wounded you. I approve the advice he gave you -- it exactly correspondends with my Sentiments." Concerned by Van Schaack's vision problems.
