- Title
- [Document, 1783 January 30]
- Abstract
- Enclosing extract of a letter from Jonathan Nesbitt and Company requesting information on certain bills drawn on Jay. Carmichael is to supply the information since he has all the records. Carmichael has not yet answered Jay's letter of 9 October 1782 in which Jay asked Carmichael to make out and send to him a state of the public accounts as well as Jay's private account with Carmichael and Cabarrus . Letters from Morris indicate that those accounts have not yet reached him, which leads Jay to repeat his request that said accounts receive Carmichael's immediate attention.
