- An inquiry whether John Jay received the intelligence they forwarded to him while he was President of Congress. Hope that their zeal in acquiring the intelligence may prove to benefit of Holland and the United States They will be pleased to receive John Jay's orders instructions, or perhaps they mean bills of exchange.
