Abstract
Autograph Draft. Has learned of raid on his father's home in April. "It is said they behaved with uncommon Respect to you, & Humanely towards Peter & Nancy." Knows what a blow it must have been to his father and siblings. "I thank God however that you lost nothing but Property -- your Lives were spared." Begs his father to let him know how he can help . Pays tribute to his father's sacrifices for him and his education. Assures his father that he has funds to assist. Suggests that the family send their letters to Kitty Livingston or Robert Morris who seem to have good luck in finding safe passages for their letters to Europe.
