- Abstract
- Hopes that Livingston has not retired too soon. Europe is sympathetic to the Tories. Hartley has gone to London and will soon return. He has assured us officially that Britain is not resolved to follow their proclamation concerning the West. India trade. Jay doubts that they know themselves what they mean to do. Jay favors reciprocity with all nations. England will then yield. Air globes are very p opular. "Travellers may hereafter literally pass from country to country on the wings of the wind."
