Abstract
Spain now ready to receive Jay as representative of independent nation. Lafayette did all he could to aid us in his journey through Spain On 29 March Spain told Jay they wanted him to return to Madrid to complete the treaty. The treaties must be concluded and his health improved before Jay will return to Spain
